WHAT TO EXPECT
You don’t watch, you undergo.
Poetic witnessing
Rather than being a consumer of entertainment, you become a witness of something vaguely familiar that awakens the resonance of the body while bypassing the mind.
Communal experience
Observing others--and yourself throughout the experience is a vital part of the whole.
Mise en abyme
Throughout the piece, the director works with the "mise en abyme" concept, using a dream-within-a-dream storytelling and tech solutions involving lights & projections.
Object & physical theatre
Though, some scenes are working with text, the entire piece revolves heavily around bodies, objects, and movement.
Composed & live music
The composed and live music are the leading elements of this project. Expect original music, live soundscapes, vocals, and ethnic instruments played live.
Collective trance rupture
The writer & director brings to light the issue of the frozen self and is devoted to investigating what unfreezes it and why.

OUR STORY
Mind Twitch collective
The group was founded at the beginning of 2024 by Patrycja Szumacher (director & playwright), Karolina Palica (vocal lead) with an intention of initiating an interdisciplinary Theatre Lab and applying for grants that could fund future research & projects. Currently, the collective has 5 core members, and a network of associated artists from many disciplines contributing their unique talents & skills to the labs & productions.
In May 2024, the Mind Twitch Collective run its first 2-week long theatre laboratory, allowing the group to come together, gather a collection of research topics that could be formed into a consolidated theatre piece, once funding was secured. In October 2024, the second laboratory took place in Berlin, focused on writing, movement experimentation, further funding orientation, and expanding the artistic network of the collective.
"We believe theatre is more than a performance. It's a communal practice of expansion beyond the limitations of the self, or a place, where you go to encounter questions worth asking."
A year later (May 2025), the third laboratory took place in Berlin, focused on consolidating the ideas for the first piece titled The Line and composing music for it. In January 2026, the fourth laboratory took place in Sweden. In the summer of 2026, the project got funded by the Goethe Institute, and during a 3-week-long residency in Sweden—under the mentorship of the theatre professor Michael Norlind, the written material was transformed into a living and breathing theatre piece.

Good to know.
Do I need to actively participate?
Comfortable, fitted clothing they can move in. For ballet, a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes; for hip-hop, athletic wear and clean sneakers. We'll send a simple dress-code guide by style after you enroll.
What age does my child need to be to participate?
As young as 2 in our Preschool Dance program. We offer age-appropriate classes all the way through adult, so there's a right starting point for everyone.
How often and where do you perform?
Absolutely. Most of our students start with no experience. Classes are grouped by age and level so beginners always feel supported and never out of place.
